2 Euro Commemorative Coin Andorra 2019 Alpine Ski World Cup Finals Andorra’s 2019 commemorative two-euro coin marks the Alpine Ski World Cup Finals held at Grandvalira from 11 to 17 March. The Soldeu–El Tarter area had already gained experience hosting high-level international races, and the finals brought the world’s leading competitors to the Pyrenean country. In each discipline, the top 25 skiers competed in downhill, super-G, giant slalom and slalom. The 2018–19 season was strongly associated with Marcel Hirscher and Mikaela Shiffrin, whose performances dominated the overall competitions. The coin depicts a skier descending a snowy course, framed by snow crystals and the event logo. Its inscription identifies the Andorran finals, while the twelve stars on the outer ring reflect the standard European design.
