2 Euro Commemorative Coin Finland 2024 Gesellius, Lindgren, Saarinen - Finnish Architecture This 2‑euro commemorative coin recognizes architects Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren and Eliel Saarinen and their formative role in Finnish architectural history. The Alvar Aalto Foundation highlights their joint achievement in the Finnish pavilion at the 1900 Paris exposition, a project that helped bring Finnish architecture and national identity to international attention. The design depicts four stylized building silhouettes whose roofs and towers point inward; diagonal inscriptions name the three architects together with the national mark and the mint sign, the overall arrangement evoking a clock face. The rim carries the twelve EU stars. The design is credited to Aimo Katajamäki.
