2 Euro Commemorative Coin Portugal 2019 600th Anniversary of the discovery of Madeira Archipelago The coin marks the 600th anniversary of the discovery of Madeira and Porto Santo and was issued on 8 June 2019. The reverse depicts the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo with the inscription "600 anos do Descobrimento da Madeira e do Porto Santo" arranged in an arc. Below appears "PORTUGAL 2019" and the mint mark "INCM" sits above. The outer ring bears twelve five-pointed stars for the European Union. The design is credited to Júlio Pomar and the issue was released in FDC and FS folders.
