Born in Lucca on 22 December 1858, the Italian opera composer died on 29 November 1924. The anniversary therefore provides the precise historical context for the issue, which recognizes Puccini as a major figure in Italy’s operatic tradition without adding details beyond the documented commemorative theme. The central design presents a portrait of Puccini. It is accompanied by the inscriptions “G.
