2 Euro Commemorative Coin Portugal 2013 250th Anniversary of the Construction of 'Torre dos Clerigos' in Porto Portugal issued this 2 euro commemorative in June 2013 for the 250th anniversary of Porto’s Torre dos Clérigos. Construction began in 1754 and was completed in July 1763 with an iron cross. The Baroque bell tower was designed by Nicolau Nasoni and is part of the Clérigos complex. The reverse depicts the tower with Porto’s skyline and the Ponte Dom Luís I; inscriptions include “250 ANOS TORRE DOS CLÉRIGOS — 2013”, the coat of arms, “PORTUGAL”, the mint mark, “INCM — HUGO MACIEL” and twelve EU stars.
