2 Euro Commemorative Coin Andorra 2015 25th Anniversary of the Signature of the Customs Agreement with the European Union The coin commemorates the customs agreement signed by Andorra and the European Community in 1990, whose twenty-fifth anniversary was marked in 2015. The agreement created a customs union covering defined categories of goods and established rules for trade between the Principality and the Community. For industrial products in Chapters 25 to 97 of the Harmonized System, it provides, among other elements, free movement of goods and the removal of customs duties and charges having equivalent effect. Under specified conditions, originating Andorran products in Chapters 1 to 24 may enter the Community free of import duties. The design places Andorra’s map above two interlaced arrows pointing in opposite directions, a visual reference to the agreement. The national coat of arms is highlighted within the map, while “1990” and “2015” identify the anniversary period.
