2 Euro Commemorative Coin Finland 2016 90th Anniversary of the death of Eino Leino The Finnish two-euro commemorative coin marks the 90th anniversary of the death of Eino Leino (1878–1926), born Armas Einar Leopold Lönnbohm. Leino is primarily known as a poet and also worked as an author, translator and journalist; the University of Helsinki ranks him among the principal figures of Finnish literary national romanticism. The inner field bears a stylised flame with a slanted poker rising to the right; semicircularly at the right of the inner field appear "EINO LEINO" and the year 2016. Lower left show the country code FI and the mintmark, the outer ring carries the twelve EU stars. The design is by Pertti Mäkinen; mintage one million, issued 25 April 2016.
