2 Euro Commemorative Coin Portugal 2018 250th Anniversary of the Official Printing Works Commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Imprensa Nacional, established by an Alvará of 24 December 1768 as the Impressão Régia. Over centuries it became Portugal's state printing office and publisher of the official gazette and culturally important works; since 1972 it has been part of Imprensa Nacional‑Casa da Moeda (INCM). The design arranges the inscription to evoke books on a shelf; the artist Eduardo Aires and the mint mark INCM appear, with twelve EU stars on the outer ring.
