2 Euro Commemorative Coin Malta 2019 From Children in Solidarity Nature and Environment – Malta’s 2019 €2 commemorative coin was the fourth issue in the children’s programme “From Children in Solidarity”. Launched in 2015 by the Central Bank of Malta together with the Ministry for Education and Employment and the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation, the programme invites schoolchildren to submit designs addressing themes of social commitment. The 2019 winning theme was created by Joshua Stuart, a student at Maria Regina College in Naxxar. A stylised sunrise, or sun, appears above a fruit tree, expressing the natural links between warmth, light, growth and the charitable power of nature. The coin was issued on 21 October 2019.
