2 Euro Commemorative Coin Portugal 2020 730th Anniversary of the University of Coimbra Issued by Portugal on 1 September 2020, this coin commemorates the 730th anniversary of the University of Coimbra. The design centers on a stylized university bell tower framed by a visual arrangement of triangles evoking the many roofs of the campus; the legend reads 'UNIVERSIDADE DE COIMBRA 730 ANOS'. The coin also bears the designer's signature 'Esc. J. J. BRITO', the mint mark 'CASA DA MOEDA', and the inscription 'PORTUGAL 2020'. The outer ring displays the twelve five-pointed stars of the European Union. It was released in FDC and FS folders.
