2 Euro Commemorative Coin France 2021 75th Anniversary of Foundation of Unicef UNICEF was created in 1946 as an emergency fund for children in war-ravaged Europe. It later developed into a global United Nations organisation working on health, education, nutrition and child protection. France’s coin for the seventy-fifth anniversary recalls this transition from immediate post-war relief to long-term international responsibility. It honours the idea that children’s rights and opportunities must be protected regardless of origin, conflict or economic circumstances.
