As a leading figure of the Prague Spring, he represented the 1968 attempt to reshape Czechoslovakia’s political system through liberal reforms. The coin for his centenary is limited to a profile portrait and the dates 1921–1992. That focused approach leaves room for the memory of a life associated with reformist hope and democratic change.
