2 Euro Commemorative Coin Lithuania 2022 35th Anniversary of the Erasmus Program This common issue celebrates 35 years of the Erasmus Programme. The European Union launched it in 1987 to make organised student exchange between institutions in different countries possible. It later developed into Erasmus+, covering education, training, youth and sport. Lithuania issued its coin on 1 July 2022, exactly 35 years after the official launch, highlighting European mobility as an educational experience.
