2 Euro Commemorative Coin Portugal 2022 35th Anniversary of the Erasmus Program The Portuguese 2 euro coin was issued on 1 July 2022 to mark the 35th anniversary of the Erasmus programme. The coin records the dates “1987–2022”; the programme is the European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students. The design features a portrait of Erasmus of Rotterdam on a mesh band forming the number 35. It bears “PROGRAMA ERASMUS”, “PORTUGAL” and the mint mark “CASA DE MOEDA”; the author Joaquin Jimenez is indicated by initials “JJ”. The outer ring shows twelve stars. Included in FDC and FS.
