2 Euro Commemorative Coin Portugal 2008 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Portugal issued this coin for the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, originally proclaimed by the UN General Assembly on 10 December 1948 in Paris as a common standard of fundamental rights. The national side presents the Portuguese coat of arms at top, with PORTUGAL and the date 2008 beneath. The lower field bears a geometric pattern and the legend “60 ANOS DA DECLARAÇÃO UNIVERSAL DOS DIREITOS HUMANOS”. Small lettering shows Esc. J. Duarte and the INCM mark.
