In this role, the presidency organises discussions and helps bring differing positions among member states toward workable solutions. The coin presents Belgium not as a spectator but as an active organiser of European cooperation. It echoes the earlier presidency issue of 2010 while pointing to a changed Europe facing new challenges in the economy, security, climate and democratic resilience.
