Its central image is the Königsstuhl on Rügen, the best-known chalk cliff in Jasmund National Park. The design combines the bright escarpment with the surrounding beech forest and a low beach-level perspective, making the landscape appear both monumental and closely connected to nature. Created by Michael Otto, the national side evokes the state’s characteristic Baltic coast and the importance of protecting its exceptional natural heritage.
