2 Euro Commemorative Coin Italy 2025 Amerigo Vespucci Training Ship's World Tour 2023-2025 Italy’s 2025 €2 commemorative coin celebrates the round-the-world voyage of the training ship Amerigo Vespucci, undertaken from 2023 to 2025. The Italian Navy’s sailing vessel spent twenty months at sea, from 1 July 2023 to 11 February 2025, visiting more than thirty ports in twenty-eight countries and reaching all five continents. The expedition combined naval education with cultural diplomacy: officer cadets from the Livorno Naval Academy gained seagoing experience, while the ship presented Italy’s maritime heritage, industrial excellence and commitment to ocean protection abroad. On the coin, the Amerigo Vespucci cuts through the waves with every sail set, making the commemorated journey immediately recognizable. Its inscription gives the tour dates, alongside the 2025 issue year, the Italian Republic monogram, mintmark R and designer Emanuele Ferretti’s signature.
