2 Euro Commemorative Coin Finland 2025 100th Anniversary of the Finland-Sweden Athletics International competition The coin commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Finland–Sweden athletics international, whose inaugural meeting took place in 1925 in Helsinki and was won by Finland. The contest has continued annually since then and is traditionally held alternately in Finland and Sweden, reflecting an enduring sporting exchange between the neighbours. The motif emphasises athletic movement: two dynamically portrayed running legs are accompanied by dashed, arcing lines that evoke a track lane and the flow of motion. Above the motif the issue year 2025 is inscribed; the piece also bears the Finnish country code "FI", the Dutch mint mark and the twelve EU stars around the rim. Perti Mäkinen is credited as designer. The coin was issued on 12 August 2025.
