2 Euro Commemorative Coin Luxembourg 2026 Accession to the throne and 45th birthday of Grand Duke Guillaume This coin commemorates two closely linked milestones: Guillaume V.'s accession, confirmed when he took the oath on 3 October 2025 following his father Henri's abdication, and his 45th birthday in 2026 (born 11 November 1981). The design presents a left-facing portrait of the Grand Duke with the arced legend 'GROUSSHERZOG GIULLAUME VU LETZEBUERG' above. The motif includes the year 2026 and the engraved dates 11.11.1981 and 3.10.2025, while twelve stars encircle the scene. Designer Sandra Deiana (initials 'SD') is credited; mint and engraver marks differ by issue, with Monnaie de Paris and Joaquin Jimenez cited for the French UNC strike.
