Radio Zagreb first went on air on 15 May 1926 and became an early broadcasting pioneer in south-eastern Europe. Three decades later, television reached Zagreb, opening a new chapter in public communication. Five rows of radio waves form the design, turning an invisible transmission into a permanent image in metal. The issue therefore honours more than an institution: it recognises the technical and social evolution of voice, image, and public communication. Its subject stretches from the first radio announcements to a modern audiovisual memory of the country.
